Amy’s life began as a difficult journey, filled with obstacles that seemed insurmountable. From a young age, she faced the challenges of foster care and the responsibilities of being a teenage mother. In a small town on the east coast, the pastor couple opened their hearts and home to Amy, a 16-year-old girl, along with her two young children, aged 3 and 1. This situation demanded grace and guidance, and the pastor couple was determined to provide the support Amy needed.

Not content with just the responsibilities of motherhood and school, Amy took on the challenge of working a job to provide for her family and be more independent. She exhibited an incredible work ethic, demonstrating her determination to build a stable and loving environment for her children.

The pastor couple witnessed Amy’s growth and resilience during the five periods they spent providing respite care for her foster parents. They marveled at her ability to endure and overcome the challenges life threw her way. She was a testament to the power of hope and perseverance.
